From our first email contact, it was clear that Haakon had significant experience in this area, since he knew and asked us all of the necessary questions to understand the safety requirements. He proposed a solution that would meet our needs based on the setup of the lab in which the robot was located. Haakon made several trips to Eligo to take and confirm measurements for the safety cabinet – not just for the final product, but also for the installation (which was not a trivial endeavor). For example, he took into account the way in which we work with the robot, such as building doors into the bottom of the cabinet so we could continue to use the space for storage; and building sliding doors according to where we usually load and unload plates according to Eligo’s robot worktable. It was also helpful that he checked the design with us as he developed it, because his transparency ensured that we wouldn’t have any surprises with the final BSC. He was committed to delivering us a product that would allow us to do the work we need to do without any inconvenience. He is flexible and did not propose or advocate for a one-size-fits-all product, and for a few small unanticipated issues, he creatively came up with solutions in the moment. He has continued to stay in touch when he passes through Paris and has been responsive to all of our needs and questions.
